Growing Up With Diabetes is a picture book geared towards children ages 4-8 with a paired handcrafted linen doll of the main character Katie with matching sensor and insulin pump.

A new story from Acorn Cottage Press: The Snow Globe

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share what we’re making next—and thank you again for helping bring our earlier books and characters to life.


The Snow Globe is a holiday picture book about woodland friends who set out to make a gift for someone who is always giving to others. We’re creating a signed, limited edition hardcover designed to become part of a family’s holiday traditions. The book also includes a make-your-own snow globe activity.



Our BackerKit campaign has five days left and is currently $1,229 from its $2,500 goal. You can pledge for a signed copy, choose a three-book bundle to share, or help us donate books to children spending the holidays in the hospital.


If this story sounds like one you’d enjoy sharing, I’d love to have you join us again. And if you know someone who loves holiday picture books, passing along the link would mean a great deal.

The Donated Copies Are Being Packaged UP!

I hope this message finds everyone well! Thanks to the generosity of all of you - we have a bunch of My Body Beeps! to donate. I spent some time thinking about where the best places would be to donate them to and was able to connect to Lisa Gier,  the Executive Director  at https://www.diabetescamps.org/ - Their organization connects 100 Diabetes Camps in the US!!!


I was able to collaborate with Lisa to send a message out to those camps and ask them if they would benefit from a donated copy of My Body Beeps! THE RESPONSE HAS BEEN AN OVERWHELMING YES! So far, I am packaging up 18 packages with books to send out to various camps across the US and I expect to receive additional responses.

Thank you ALL for your generosity - it is because of YOU that this is possible!!!

So excited about My Body Beeps! arrival. I have already done two trips to the post office to mail everyone's books and other goodies and I have a few more trips to go. I am waiting to ship all packages to backers in Massachusetts in hopes that you will be able to attend the book launch + pick up party!!! See Invite Below!
